Malaysian politician Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin urged Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) settlers to give their full support to bring the institution back its glory days.
He said Felda had succeeded in proving that it was not a bankrupt agency as alleged by certain parties, and had overcome the cash flow problem it faced earlier.
“The proof is that today, 430 settlers will receive their land titles, comprising 430 lots for housing and 521 lots for farming at Felda Pemanis 2,” he said at the ceremony to hand over land ownership to 430 Felda Pemanis 2 settlers here.
Also present at the function were Felda chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad and Johor State Health, Education and Information Committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat.
Mohamed Khaled also advised settlers not to be easily swayed by rumours from irresponsible parties trying to undermine Felda.
He added the state government would always look into Felda matters and not neglect the interests of the settlers.
