Massive tyre scraps could be significantly reduced with a recycling technology that is compact, it can fit in a small garage. The new SymTyre-S300 semi-automatic tyre cutter works as fast as 60 seconds to flat-pack whole tyres on site , with the valuable components of rubber and steel saved for later recycling.
The technology allows tyres to be cut into three parts in one process. When the tyre has been dismantled, the components can be loaded into a specially designed cage or ‘stillage’ leading to space and energy savings in storage and transport.
The process will allow for a 70% decrease in space that is normally taken up by bulks of tyres. The SymTyre-S300, which is available for rent or sale, has been developed for Symphony Recycling Technologies, a subsidiary of Symphony Environmental Technologies.(RJA)
