China Manufacturers Alliance issued a recall for certain Bluestar LQ225 size 8-14.5 low platform trailer tyres. The recall affects nearly 10,500 tyres.
The potentially affected tyres, which were manufactured Feb. 24, 2013 to Aug. 9, 2014, can develop a sidewall blister on the upper section of the sidewall. According to NHTSA, this sidewall blister may pop while the vehicle is in operation. If the sidewall blister pops, rapid air pressure loss could cause loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
CMA will notify owners and distributors to send the tyres back for full reimbursement. The recall began December 12, 2014. Owners may contact CMA customer service at 1-626-301-9575.
