ACCORDING to China’s Ministry of Commerce, it is increasing the current anti-dumping levy of 9.9% on imported chloroprene rubber, a type of synthetic rubber, supplied by Japanese firm Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha, after complaints from local rubber makers start to mount.
The Ministry stated that a 20% adjustment will be made on anti-dumping duties for the SR imports from said company. The increase has been effected immediately.
China has imposed anti-dumping duties ranging from 2% to 151% on imported chloroprene rubber from Japan, the U.S. and EU for a five-year period, commencing from 2005. In 2011, the Commerce Ministry extended the duties for another five years.
