Indian tyre maker Ceat has launched a new “Puncture-Safe” motorcycle tyre range designed to prevent deflation at the point of puncture. The tubeless tyres contain a patented sealant that seals the puncture and prevents loss of air pressure. This property makes for unique self-healing tyres.
The sealant can also seal punctures for nails up to 2.5 mm in diameter. The secure and performance-oriented tyres will improve the safety of a two wheeler rider and avoid any potential accidents caused by punctured tyres.
Amit Tolani, Chief Marketing Officer, Ceat Tyres, said, “Our aim has and will always be to ‘Make mobility Safer and Smarter.’ The Ceat Puncture-Safe tyres were launched with an aim to save our consumers’ time and energy, and to deal with the most common problem for any two-wheeler rider: a flat tyre.”
The tyres are currently available in Kerala, Bangalore, Mysore & parts of Karnataka as well as Coimbatore & Salem in Tamil Nadu in seven different sizes compatible with popular motorcycle models.
