Atturo Tire Corp. has announced a run-flat high performance tyre for SUVs. The company will introduce the AZ850 model at the Reifen 2014 International Trade Fair May 27-30 in Essen, Germany.
The company says the AZ850 is its solution to the increasing power and handling demands of the SUV and crossover vehicle market. The new tyre will provide superb traction in both dry and wet conditions. The ride comfort and noise levels are tuned for the luxury driver when the performance needs are on hold, according to Atturo.
Atturo says the AZ850 will be the first private brand tyre to bring run-flat technology to the SUV market at an affordable level. The technology was developed jointly with the technical team of Federal Corp. in Taiwan where the AZ850 will be produced for Atturo.
The tread pattern is an asymmetric design to provide optimal contact area under wet and dry conditions. The run-flat models are designed to travel up to 50 miles at 50 miles per hour with zero air pressure.
“Drivers typically replace original run flats with standard tyres due to the high cost”, says Atturo’s Asgar Latif. “We believe this new model will finally provide a true alternative to the expensive original equipment run flat tyres. The AZ850 will even give drivers the opportunity to select a run-flat tyre to upgrade from standard tyres while keeping the cost within reasonable levels.”
Atturo says the tyres are available for order now.
The initial run-flat AZ850 sizes will include 255/50R19, 285/45R19, 275/40R20 and 315/35R20.
Additional sizes to be launched under the AZ850 pattern will be in 18-, 19-, 21- and-22-inch sizes.
The AZ850 will be displayed at the Atturo Tire stand at the Reifen show in Essen hall 2, stand 2D42.
