Midwest Industrial Rubber (MIR), a US fabricator and distributor of conveyor belting and industrial conveyor products joins Ammega, a company specialising in mission critical lightweight process and conveyor and power transmission belting, following completion of the acquisition.
Brian McSharry, Chairman of MIR, commented that becoming part of Ammega, the holding company of Ammeraal Beltech & Megadyne, is beneficial for MIR owing to its strong product portfolio and market knowledge.
Meanwhile, in January, Ammeraal Beltech, also announced that it has acquired BCMS and Transitech, two distribution companies for conveyor belts in France to increase its penetration in the French market. In addition, the companies’ belt fabrication capabilities are expected to strengthen Ammeraal Beltech’s footprint and customer service levels, particularly in the south and north-west areas of the country.
