One of the world’s largest producers of synthetic rubbersand wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, Arlanxeo, has announced a major investment to expand production capacity for polybutadiene at its Triunfo plant in Brazil. The project will increase the plant’s annual output by nearly 25%, strengthening the company’s ability to meet rising demand from customers in Latin America and beyond, it adds.
The firm also says the plant meets stringent global quality and safety standards and has earned wide customer acceptance for its operational excellence. With this new investment, Arlanxeo reinforces its commitment to the Latin American market, following a “local-to-local” approach that supports regional growth and sustainability, it furthered.
“After a successful installation that increased capacity to 65 kilotonnes at our polybutadiene plant, the response from our customers has been outstanding,” said Angelo Brazil, Chief Manufacturing Officer at Arlanxeo. “We are now taking the next step and will further expand our capacity by 25%.”
He added, “This underscores our confidence in the Latin American market, and our commitment to providing reliable, high-quality products close to our customers. With strong performance, a well-run operation, and a market with solid customer demand, we’re perfectly positioned for continued growth.”
