THE Pirelli Suppliers Awards gave honour to its best suppliers for 2011. Chairman and CEO Marco Tronchetti Provera, along with chief purchasing officer Carlo Costa, presided at the ceremony held at the company’s Milan headquarters.
The award winners were: PT. Aneka Bumi Pratama, Columbian Chemicals Company, HF Tire Tech Group, Nynas AB, Rhodia SA, Styron GMBH, Techedge SpA, and Value Team SpA. The suppliers distinguished themselves by their quality, innovation, speed, total cost, sustainability, global presence and level of service.
In addition to recognizing supplier excellence, the annual award will serve as a means of constantly improving the partner relationship and the quality of the service offers.
During the ceremony, Provera outlined the Pirelli group’s industrial strategy with its focus on the premium segment, in which it aims to be world leader by 2015. Costa, meanwhile, explained the strategy for choosing partners and the relationship with suppliers within the context of a premium industrial and commercial approach.(PRA)
