US-based Freudenberg Medical, a global developer and manufacturer of speciality components and minimally invasive solutions for the medical device and pharmaceutical industry, has added 10,000 sq ft of office and warehouse space at the company’s silicone operation in Carpinteria, California. “This new building allows us to optimise our supply chain and helps support recently won high volume silicone extrusion and moulding projects,“ said Dr. Mark Ostwald, VP & General Manager of Freudenberg Medical in Carpinteria. “Combined with our recently redesigned state-of-the-art cleanrooms, which have improved lead times and internal material flow, we are now well positioned to support future growth.“
Freudenberg Medical’s operation in Carpinteria, California specialises in the manufacture of platinum-cured silicone products for the medical device and pharmaceutical industry. Capabilities includes silicone moulding and extrusion, including long-term implantable silicone products, as well as assembly, packaging, and finished devices. The operation is FDA registered and ISO 13485 certified.
