The Avon Tyres British GT is just one race away from the final round—and this race is happening on Snetterton Circuit this weekend (August 22-23).
“The race format for the weekend will see two one-hour races, so there will be an increased importance to qualifying in the best position possible. The track can be tight and narrow for cars at this high level of performance in such a competitive field, and past years have shown that off track excursions can be punishing.” says Gavin Johnson, Avon Tyres Development Manager.
The Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk, UK is the second track in the 2015 calendar to have two hour-long races. It also has the longest straights in UK motorsport and many challenging corners.
Currently, Marco Attard and Alexander Sims are leading the GT3 class while Jamie Chadwick and Ross Gunn lead the GT4. The Snetterton Circuit can be a big deciding race for both categories, according to the Avon Tyres press release.
The final round of the 2015 Avon Tyres British GT Championship will be held in September.
