KENDA Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd. has produced its first prototype tyre from its new factory in Tainjin, China. The company’s second automotive factory within the last five years, will be producing tyres for the European, African and Asian markets.
Kenda’s President Jimmy Yang says, “We are excited to bring the quality of Taiwanese technology to other countries in order to produce high-quality, world-class tyres.”
Production from the Tainjin plant will be available to customers in the third quarter of 2013.
Full operational capacity of the plant will will reach 20,000 tyres/day, enabling Kenda to produce over 50,000 automotive tires daily, including the output from its Taiwan plant.
Yang says that Kenda is an established player in the tyre sector, having produced over 700,000 tyres and tubes for other industries daily.
