Malaysian company buys stake in Indonesian rubber planter

MALAYSIA-based Sime Darby Berhad will acquire 3,800 ordinary shares of Indonesian Rupiah 1,000,000 each in PT Indo Sukses Lestari Makmur from SLT Capital (3,500 shares) and PT Entete Mining (300 shares) representing 95% of the total issued and paid-up shares of PT Indo Sukses, estimated at US$4 million. PT Indo Sukses was incorporated in Indonesia in 2008 and is principally involved in the forestry business, including the development of industrial plant forest and rubber tapping. PT Indo Sukses is in the process of developing over approximately 10,000 ha of area for a rubber forest located in Bangka Belitung Province, Indonesia. (PRA)
