BARRINGTON, Ill. – Latex balloon maker CTI Industries Corp.’s Flexo International S.A. de C.V. subsidiary has added and now is operating latex balloon production equipment at its factory in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The completion of the installation project will boost the firm’s latex balloon capacity by about 70 percent above the 2010 levels, according to CTI President Howard Schwan. He said the firm now has significantly increased its ability to meet demand from its markets in the U.S. Mexico, Latin America and Europe.
CTI also makes and markets packaging and storage bags and pouches, metalized balloons, novelty items and printed and laminated films. The company didn’t give any financial or capacity figures on the expansion.
