ZC Rubber, Nanjing Lvjinren sign contract to expand rubber recycling capacity

Chinese tyre manufacturer Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber (ZC Rubber) is to expand its capacity for recycled rubber together with Nanjing Lvjinren Rubber & Plastic High-tech Company (Nanjing Lvjinren Rubber). The expansion project – part of ZC Rubber’s quest to find the most advanced comprehensive utilisation technology of waste tyres – will be fully operational in September 2020; the finished operation is expected to yieldsome 20,000 tonnes of recycled rubber annually.

Back in 2017, ZC Rubber ordered the first set of recycled rubber production lines from Nanjing Lvjinren Rubber, which were developed independently at the University of Chemical Technology in Beijing, China. The equipment has achieved environmental protection, safety and continuity in the preparation process of recycled rubber, in addition to its excellent and stable product performance.

Hence, the latest cooperation between ZC Rubber and Nanjing Lvjinren Rubber will hasten the “green” development driven by science and technology innovation. The two parties will continue their efforts to contribute to the process of reducing, reusing and recycling within the tyre industry. The latest project also stands to become China’s leading Industrial 4.0 recycled rubber intelligent plant and recycling demonstration project within the industry.

ZC Rubber, an experimental unit of China’s Commerce, Finance, and Industry/Information Technology Ministries and the China Tire Recycling Association, bases its development model on sustainable resources, and seeks out pilot projects for the recovery and comprehensive utilisation of waste tyres.
