Vorbeck Materials Corp. and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) are collaborating for the development of graphene-enhanced synthetic elastomer products.
Born out of a Princeton Research Lab,Vorbeck is now a leading producer of graphene and graphene-based products and solutions to the market. RIL, with its growing presence in retail and digital services in India, is considered one of Asia’s top petrochemical companies.
“Vorbeck’s ability to develop innovative graphene-based products opens the door to many potential applications,” said Bharat B. Sharma, senior vice president of Product Development & Technical Service (Elastomers) for Reliance’s Petrochemicals division.
“We are excited to be working with Reliance, and are inspired by their commitment to innovation,” stated John Lettow, President of Vorbeck Materials. He also added that the joint venture will accelerate the development and commercialisation of products that could potentially have a real impact on the market.
