Triangle Group calls for more ‘green’ technologies

IN a keynote speech at an auto and tyre industry summit in Beijing, Triangle Group’s president, Ding Yuhua called for more “green” technologies in China, especially in the tire industry. He pledged that the group will follow the trend by focusing on economic responsibility, coordinated development of social responsibility and environmental responsibility.

Yuhua also noted that it will take a good low-carbon economy—the path of green manufacturing—to “create a new productivity model of the tire industry.”

The company, he said, has invested heavily in energy efficiency in the last five years, and has shut down productive production lines because they are environmentally damaging. Replacement lines are over 15% more energy efficient now.

He added that Triangle will continue down this path, studying advanced materials, developing the use of energy saving and environmental protection, employing a green supply chain system, and vigorously developing tyres with low energy consumption, low noise and high safety performance.(PRA)
