Trelleborg through its business area Trelleborg Wheel Systems, has signed an agreement and finalised the acquisition of White Baumaschinenreifen GmbH (White).
The company specialises in the service, fitting and repair of pneumatic and solid tyres for construction vehicles in Germany. The acquisition further strengthens and enlarges Trelleborg’s European distribution network for tyres for materials handling and construction vehicles.
The acquired company is located in Duisburg, Germany. Sales amounted to approximately SEK 90 M in 2016. This bolt-on acquisition is part of Trelleborg’s strategy to strengthen its positions in attractive market segments.
“The acquisition gives us the opportunity to expand our tyre service concept for materials handling and construction vehicles, while also allowing us to enhance our sales of service and distribution in Europe. It strengthens our entyre supply chain, from manufacturing to service of tyres,” says Paolo Pompei, President of the Trelleborg Wheel Systems business area.
The transaction will be consolidated as of November 2, 2017.
