Import and private brand distributor Tireco Inc. is adding the Nankang SV-2 SummerSnow, a winter-optimized all-weather tyre, to its lineup.
The Nankang SV-2, produced by Taiwan’s Nankang Rubber Tire Corp., combines true winter traction (Alpine marked) and all-season durability with a 40,000-mile warranty, Tireco claims.
The line launches with 48 sizes, covering 13- to 19-inch rim diamters in metric, touring and CUV fitments, ranging from 175/70R13 to 255/50R19. It is UTQG rated to 520AA, boasts a directional tread design for improved handling, has a 3-D siping pattern for enhanced wear and traction and a tread compounding optimized for both winter and summer performance, the company said.
The SV-2 is designed to enhance and extend dealers’ winter tyre sales, Tireco said, and minimize the impact of the unpredictable winter conditions experienced in North America.
Gardena-based Tireco is the exclusive distributor of Nankang-band tyres in North American and Westlake-brand tyres in the U.S. Its proprietary brands include Geostar, Milestar, Nanco, Tracgard and Geotrac.
