Dalton-based Textile Rubber & Chemical Company recently announced that it is forming a new polymers group effective January 1 next year.
TR Polymers Group will consist of the company’s three previously separated units: the Polymer Technology Group (latex chemicals), the Polyurethane Group (PU chemicals and backings systems) and the ThermoTex Group (thermoplastic polymers and coatings).
Chip Howalt, Textile Rubber & the Chemical Company President said “Combining these three divisions will allow us to provide a clearer focus and a path to our customers for chemistries, research and development, and innovations. This will also allow us to provide our customers with the very best products, solutions and service from our entire range of polymer chemistries and backing products.”
Mark Cline, the company’s incumbent vice president and general manager of the Polyurethane Group, will oversee operations for TR Polymers Group as its new vice president and general manager. (RJA)
