Philippines: Rubber production seminar scheduled in CMU

The Department of Trade and Industry have organized and scheduled a rubber production seminar in Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon in Philippines today. The speakers for the seminar will also be experts from the said university.
The seminar is organized with the help of the Valencia City Chamber of Commerce and Industry that is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
“Rubber by the way is part of the priority industries identified by DTI for assistance under NICCEP,” Fam Villanueva, Bukidnon planning and information officer said.

 

 

The DTI organized the seminar to spread awareness regarding rubber and help existing rubber plantation owners in Region X and potential investors who have only limited knowledge on rubber.
Head of CMU’s Horticulture Department and Prof. Reymon P. Ruba of CMU’s College of Agriculture will discuss on “Potential and Prospect of Rubber Production”, “Establishment of Rubber Plantation (Cultural & Management Practices and Harvesting & Processing), and “Economics of Rubber Production.” (RJA)
