Philippine rubber industry stakeholders to talk on opportunities and issues

 

Major stakeholders of the rubber industry in the Philippines has been invited by the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to discuss about the issues on investment and the marketing opportunities as well as providing updates on the latest progress about the industry.

 

 

The said event will be held in Holiday Inn Clark in Pampanga on September 18 and 19 and will invite head speakers including Lekshmi Nair who will talk about the global market for natural rubbers which can be an investment and marketing opportunity for the Philippine rubber industry.

 

 

Tetsuya Kuze, the president and CEO of the Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. is also invited to become a head speaker and will talk about the increase of production of their units to 50,000 to expand the marketing opportunities in the country.

 

 

The Prime 2012 is also inviting other important people from other government agencies such as the Department of Agriculture, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Agriculture, Department of Science and Technology, and Department of Agrarian Reform with the aim to expand the domestic market for natural rubber and to give opportunities for the produces of it as well as to the industry workings. In this event, the signing of joint statement of commitment will also be held. (PRA)
