Chinese tyre equipment manufacturer Mesnac has purchased a majority interest in US-based Test Measurement Systems (TMSI) for an undisclosed amount. The TMSI brand and identity will be retained. TMSI CEO Dr. Jerry Potts and other senior management staff will remain with the business and work with Mesnac to identify opportunities for growth, product innovation and diversification. TMSI, which was founded in 1991, specialises in the design and manufacture of custom-designed scientific and test engineering systems for the tyre and automotive industry.
Mesnac is a global enterprise that supplies a wide range of tyre manufacturing equipment ranging from raw material mixing to final product testing. It has research institutes in US, UK, Europe, and in China in Qingdao and Beijing and has sales and service operations in North/Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific, India and China.

The collaboration between TMSI and Mesnac’s global R&D facilities, especially the R&D institute in Asia, will greatly enhance our ability to provide global customers with leading edge technology.” Mesnac is principally engaged in equipment manufacturing and the software industry, providing application software and equipment for the rubber and tyre industries.
