KOTTAYAM, India — Natural (NR) and synthetic rubber (SR) production increased in the final months of 2011 in India, according to a report from the India Rubber Board.
NR output grew 3.7% to 106,800 metric tonnes in December compared with a year earlier. For the first nine months of the fiscal year production rose 4.6% to 681,900 tonnes, the report in Rubber Statistical News said.
SR production jumped 21.6% in December to 10,503 tonnes, in the monthly comparison, the study said. In the nine-month period, SR output climbed 1.2%.
