Hartalega buys more land in Malaysia for factory expansion

Malaysian glove manufacturer Hartalega Holdings’ (Hartalega) business unit based in Sepang, Hartalega NGC, will purchase 38.49 hectares of land in Selangor, Malaysia, for RM263.1 million – from property investor Bonus Essential – to meet the increasing global demand for gloves amid the COVID-19 pandemic.The deal is expected to be completed by the second half of 2022.

According to Hartalega, the freehold land in Kuala Langat is strategically located near its RM2.5 billion Next Generation Integrated Glove Manufacturing Complex (NGC), whose expansion is scheduled for completion in 2021; it is also “in close proximity to the West Coast Expressway interchange and is surrounded by nearby rapid industrial and housing developments.”
