Seoul-based tyre company Hankook Tire will supply two all-season tyres, SmartFlex AH35 and DH35, as original equipment tyres to Ford’s latest Super Duty F-450 and F-550 Chassis Cab truck models. Ford’s Super Duty series has been loved by drivers around the world: the addition of Hankook Tire’s SmartFlex AH35 and DH35 – the latter of which willbe available in US markets soon – will provide enhanced handling performance and a smooth driving experience.
In the case of the SmrtFlex AH35, the multi-3D sipes anchored in the tread improves traction, while the combination of straight and wave-shaped grooves improves water run-off and sustainably prevents aquaplaning. The special tread design also supports even tyre wear and the stiffness of the tread blocks promotes exceptionally fuel-efficient operations. Meanwhile, the SmartFlex DH35’s four zig-zag groove lines across the whole tread surface covers a wide contact area, which results in increased mileage and driving performance in various road conditions, without sacrificing its physical appeal. The SmartFlex DH35 has just been launched in America and will soon be available to the public in sizes 225/70R19.5 14PR, 245/70R19.5 16PR and 265/70R19.5 14PR.
Hankook Tire started supplying original equipment tyres to the Ford Motor Company since 1999 for models ranging from the Ford Expedition, Explorer, Mustang, Ranger, Edge, and others. With the addition of the Ford Super Duty Chassis Cab Series, Hankook Tire continues to expand its global automotive footprint.
