Dow to build EPDM plant in the US

plantScience and technology firm, Dow Chemical Company said that it will build a new plant to produce metallocene ethylene propylene diene monomer also known as EPDM in the US Gulf.

The production from the new plant will be under the trademark of NORDEL IP Hydrocarbon Rubber.

The company said that the new plant will start operating in 2016 and will produce the products that are the benchmark for cost and production efficiency through combining the abilities of the company’s new financial stimulus and influencing the production benefits of the company’s large-scale, solution-integrated process.

 

 

The new facility will be built on the US Gulf Coast, which is currently assessed by the company. This facility is anticipated to influence the company’s plan to increase the production of EPDM in the US Gulf Coast. (RJA)
