Cooper exhibited new tyres and R&D goals

 

American tyre and rubber company, Cooper Tyre & Rubber Co. shows its new products at its Global Tyre Expo in SEMA.

 

 

Including the new products the company exhibited is the CS3 Touring which features Copper’s “StabilEdge” technology, a technology that makes tyres crisper and grip stronger on dry roads, improving the comfort of the ride. The new tyres also feature a five-rib tread pattern which gives an improvement in wet and light tractions, mortality and noise.

 

 

Another tyre that was exhibited at Cooper’s booth was the Mastercraft Courser AXT, with wheel diameters ranging from 15 to 20 inches and is now available to 50 light trucks and SUVs. The tyre features “a progressive five-rib tread design, aggressive off-road capabilities, confident highway control and wear, and balanced all-season performance”, as Cooper said. The tyre also features a better-off road traction, a buttress shoulder design and a wider centre tread elements with open grooves.

 

 

The company also exhibited new tyres such as The Roadmaster RM230 WB, The Roadmaster RM254, and The Roadmaster RM851.

 

 

According to Cooper’s Vice President of Global Research and Development, Chuck Yurkovich, the company has grown its market share to 6.5% over the past few years, making the company the top 5 commercial tyre maker in North America. He also cited the company’s plan for expansion. (RJA)
