Continental Donates US$10,000 to firefighters’ charity

International automotive supplier Continental today donated US$10,000 to the Auburn Hills Firefighters’ Helping Hands organization. The money donated will go toward helping needy families this holiday season.

“For the seventh year in a row, Continental has made a substantial impact on the Auburn Hills community through a very generous donation to our Firefighter’s Helping Hands organization. This gift will assist Auburn Hills families in need and will be able to provide much needed financial support to families who may face financial difficulties, especially during the holidays.  We are truly grateful to Continental and its staff for their on-going support of the Auburn Hills community.”

Helping Hands offers assistance year-round for the local community through scholarships, heating funds for seniors, and immediate aid to families devastated and displaced by fire. The organization also provides additional support to families who face financial hardship during this time of year.

“There is continuous need in our community. The Helping Hands charity benefits local residents in so many ways by providing much needed relief efforts to youth, families and seniors,” said Klei. “We are grateful for the dedicated effort put forth by these firefighters each year, and by partnering with them we are showing our commitment to help combat poverty during the holiday season.”
