Business fuels spike in attendance in Tyrexpo Asia 2013

Developing automotive aftermarkets in China, India, Malaysia, Thailand and other emerging Asian nations are driving demand for business at Singapore’s Tyrexpo Asia exhibition in March next year.
With 9 months still to go until the show opens its doors, organiser ECI International reports an unprecedented level of interest, with huge demand for exhibition space.
The show is already larger in floor space terms than the record-breaking event of 2011 and is set to become the biggest version ever staged in the Singapore Expo Centre.
ECI sales director Rowena Suthers explains: “Many of the developing Asian countries are investing in aftermarket services and wider customer choice, creating a growing demand for tyres and service-related equipment. These factors are definitely contributing to the exceptional interest in the show, as suppliers recognise the opportunities for new business in strong markets.
“And in global economic terms Asia remains buoyant compared with other major trading territories in Europe, the US and Middle East which continue to be affected by financial and political uncertainty.”
Tyrexpo Asia heavyweights Stamford Tyres, YHI Corporation, Elgi Rubber, Omni United and BKT are among more than 120 companies who have already signed up. Joining them for the first time since 2007 will be Indian tyre manufacturer CEAT.
The show will cover all aspects of the international tyre and workshop equipment sector. New tyres for all markets and applications, retreads, garage machinery, tools, accessories, consumables and associated services will all be represented in-depth at Tyrexpo Asia 2013.
As a truly international event the show attracts visitors and exhibitors from across the tyre world, with more than 80 nationalities represented at the last event in 2011. They were among over 3,500 business people who attended the show; another record performance for the event.
Tyrexpo Asia returns to the Singapore Expo Centre on 19, 20, 21 March 2013, marking the 9th edition in the series of dedicated tyre and equipment shows from ECI International.
