Bridgestone introduces FuelTech Drive retread as part of Bandag MaxTread line

Bridgestone

The new MaxTread FuelTech Drive is the latest retread addition to Bridgestone Americas’ existing Bandag MaxTread line; the SmartWay-verified, California Air Resources Board-compliant tyre has been engineered with advanced technology for fleets operating in over-the-road hauling services.

The MaxTread FuelTech Drive is a closed-shoulder tyre which utilises a special tread compound to reduce energy loss and lower rolling resistance for excellent mileage performance and optimum fuel efficiency. The tyre is designed for long, even tread wear with precise control of the tyre’s ribs and tread blocks during rotation. It additionally provides multiple gripping edges and a siped tread design to provide trusted traction on wet and dry surfaces.

Keith Iwinski, Director of marketing, Bandag, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, said that the MaxTread FuelTech Drive retread is “a fuel-efficient tyre solution that maximises mileage and performance.” The tyre is ideal for fleets operating in truckload and less-than-truckload applications, as its drive tyre position delivers reliable and sustainable tyre performance. Bridgestone introduced the Bandag MaxTread line featuring quality Bandag retreads as a standalone single-unit tyre solution, earlier this year. The line is designed to deliver reliability comparable to new tyres with each Bandag MaxTread trailer, drive and all-position tyre locally retreaded and backed by a lifetime limited warranty for the life of the tread. With at least nine Bandag retread patterns so far, the line includes fitments for light-truck, waste, long-haul, severe-service and pickup-and-delivery applications.
