The Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) has recently acquired UK-based iTrack Solutions business, one of the largest providers of tyre management solutions for off-road vehicles in the UK market. iTrack Solutions offers a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) which is specially designed for large earthmover tyres and able to collect accurate, real-time data on tyre performance and vehicle location.
iTrack not only provides data such as tyre temperature and pressure but also gives customisable geofencing, speed alert and more to help off-the-road tyre customers to optimise their operations for increased productivity and profitability.
The acquisition of iTrack Solutions will venture into a prosperous business for Bridgestone, since mobility and tyre solutions have a great demand in conducting the business operations by customers who require data for improvement.
Bridgestone thus plans to expand iTrack to additional off-the-road vehicle owners as they will fully integrate the solution into the company’s portfolio. Bridgestone will also acquire all employees of the iTrack solutions, as part of the acquisition.
Tomohiro Kusano, VP and senior officer for G-MAA Solutions at Bridgestone, said the acquisition of the iTrack Solutions by Bridgestone allows the company “to grow into being the leader in sustainable and advanced solution for mobility.”
He further added that Bridgestone will create new value for its customers by delivering mobility and tyre-related data that should enhance the operations of the customers’ business.
