The Biesterfeld Group founded a new business division, Biesterfeld Performance Rubber GmbH, which combines all international business activities for the rubber processing industry. Its aim is to further strategically develop the rubber business while strengthening the group’s role as a leading European distributor in this industrial segment. Sascha Hennig and Peter Wilkes will assume management of this business division representing a sales volume of around EUR50 million per annum. In addition Wilkes will continue to hold his function as Managing Director of Biesterfeld Spezialchemie GmbH.
“We offer a global distribution network for rubber compounds to our customers and suppliers. In doing so we can draw on many years of expertise within the Biesterfeld Group.” states SaschaHennig. “We will focus on further expanding cooperation with international market leaders and are able to leverage synergies within the Biesterfeld Group to the benefit of our suppliers and customers.”
Peter Wilkes adds: “Our focus is on the distribution of synthetic rubber compounds, of high-quality silicone and fluorosilicone rubbers, carbon black and additives. The current rubber portfolio will be complemented by high performance polymers and additives.”
Biesterfeld Performance Rubber will commence operations on July 1 and will be active in Europe, Latin America and North Africa. Local technical application support is accompanied by a comprehensive product portfolio.
