KUMHO Tire will supply original equipment (OE) tyres for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Kumho, which became the first Korean tyre supplier for Mercedes-Benz in 2007, will supply its Solus KL21 tyres for the Benz’s G-Class, which retails for W147.3 million (US$1=W1,065) in Korea.
“As it is an off-road vehicle, we focused on making highly durable tyres that deliver a powerful driving force,” says Kumho, which will start supplying the tyres this month.
The Benz model fitted with these tires will be available in Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan and the U.S.
