Arlanxeo Holding B.V.’s new corporate headquarters was officially opened in Maastricht, Netherlands on June 22. The company will now control its synthetic rubber business operations around the world from its Maastrict headquarters.
“After the launch at the beginning of April, the opening of our headquarters is the next step toward establishing Arlanxeo,” said Jan Paul de Vries, Chairman of the Arlanxeo Executive Board at the opening ceremony. “In Maastricht, we have found the perfect international location that is also in the immediate vicinity of our company’s key European production sites. It offers outstanding conditions for Arlanxeo to strengthen its position as the key player in the global synthetic rubber market.”
The company is a joint venture of Lanxess and Saudi Aramco, a Cologne, Germany-based world-leading specialty chemicals company andthe world’s largest integrated energy enterprise headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, respectively. The two partners each hold a 50% interest in the joint venture which was established on April 1.

The new group headquarters, ‘De Colonel’, in the heart of Maastricht will house central leadership functions as well as the management team.
The Arlanxeo management is drawn evenly from both partner companies. Alongside Jan Paul de Vries as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jorge Nogueira also moved from Lanxess to the Arlanxeo management team. Saudi Aramco provided Ali Ba-Baidhan as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Fayez Alsharef as the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
