March 1, 2019

Mid-America Fittings (MAF), a manufacturer of customised, high quality, industrial fittings and valves in Kansas has been acquired by Chicago-headquartered middle market private equity investment firm, Wynnchurch Capital. With the takeover, MAF will become part of a growing distribution platform for valves, fittings, hoses, couplings, and related products to a variety of end-markets, that includes US-based, Anderson Metals and Midland Metal Mfg;  and Canadian rubber products distributor, Buchanan Rubber.

In December, Wynnchurch completed the acquisition of Buchanan Rubber. A month after, it acquired Boss Industries, a leader in power take-off (PTO) and engine driven rotary screw air technology. Recent past acquisitions also included Infra Pipe Solutions, a manufacturer of large diameter, high density polyethylene pipe.
